Water quality characteristics

Municipal sewage is a water source with highly variable water quality. The water is turbid, malodorous, slightly alkaline, high in nitrogen and phosphorus, and the concentrations of total dissolved solids, COD, BOD, silica, ammonia, and a number of other pollutants change very frequently. In addition to containing a large number of organic matter, germs, viruses, urban sewage also contains various types of toxic and harmful pollutants of different degrees, posing a huge threat to the human living environment.
